Doctor of Science in Dentistry (DScD) in Prosthodontics

A limited number of candidates are accepted into the Doctor of Science in Dentistry (DScD) program. Candidates must complete all biomedical science and clinical requirements of the CAGS program. In addition, the program requires successful completion of a major research effort related to the specialty, a doctoral thesis, and a thesis defense.

The Doctor of Science in Dentistry (DScD) program in Prosthodontics requires a minimum of 36 months of full-time enrollment.

Research Requirements (22.50 units)

  • SDM PR 991 Research Prosthodontics
  • SDM PR 992 Research Prosthodontics
  • SDM PR 993 Research Prosthodontics

Other coursework may be assigned at the discretion of the research advisor, program director, or department chair.

Completion is not tracked by unit accumulation but by successful completion of individual courses and duration requirements.
