Our favorite moments from Commencement Weekend 2018

Commencement Weekend is over, but we’re still glowing from all of the moments the Class of 2018 shared with us throughout the weekend. From telling us their next steps, sharing what they’ll always remember or getting downright goofy on the BU Seal. Each photo taken, story shared, and boomerang captured was a testament to how much our new class of alumni will always cherish the memories they made on campus. Now, as they say goodbye to their life as an undergrad, and move forward as alumni, let’s take one last look back at the weekend. Enjoy!

The ultimate first step on the BU seal

Why step on the seal when you can ride across it? That’s what Merissa Brousseau (CAS’18) did.

Legend has it that if you walk across it, stand on it, or touch it in any way, you will not graduate in four years. Students will do pretty much anything to avoid it throughout their time as a student, making their first step on the seal super meaningful.

BU overload

Warning: There’s so much BU in this photo by Abby Kass (CAS’18) your screen may break. Proceed with caution…

Money, money, money

If this isn’t the most real answer, we don’t know what is.

Ain’t that the truth. 💵💵 Congratulations! #BU2018

There’s no place like home

Click your heels three times when wearing these shoes, and you’ll return to your BU dorm. – Great design work, Agatha Brandfield-Harvey (COM’16, COM’18)

Commencement stylists

No commencement is complete without your own personal stylist. A.K.A. your family. Anna Choi (CAS’18) has the right idea.

Strut your stuff

When in your cap and gown, be prepared to serve up some #BU2018 commencement realness. Lucas De Oliveira (CAS’18, COM’18) sure did.

Champagne showers

Graduate? ✅ Time to break out the celebratory champagne. Congratulations, Gayoon Sally Kim (CAS’18, COM’18)!

Law School? What like it’s hard?

Just kidding. This is no easy feat.

Rhett

Awwww. We’ll always remember you too, Rhett!

Squad goals

This isn’t “goodbye”, it’s “see you later”. Thanks for sharing Aarushi Talwar (CAS’18, SAR’18)!
