I have the high honor and privilege of serving on the BU Alumni Council (BUAC), a volunteer group of diverse BU alumni that aims to improve the quality of the alumni experience and serve the interests of our 390,708 living alumni worldwide.

I was first connected to BU by listening to WBUR radio from Cape Cod in the 1990s. When it came time for graduate school, I could think of none other than BU. I give because ever since I made that life-changing choice, my connections to BU have become stronger by the day, resulting in my nephew choosing to attend BU himself; he is now a fellow alumnus. These bonds have in turn helped enrich and inform my worldview, helped expand my networked connections, exposed me to valuable mentoring and learning opportunities, and strengthened my spiritual experience.

Nothing would please me more than to know that the causes I support have helped attract new, diverse prospective students and future fellow alumni and their supporters to the growing BU family of almost 400,000 alumni, in the process making their lived experiences much more robust than they could ever have imagined.
