Eye Specialist Joins School of Medicine
Wuqaas Munir is appointed MED assistant prof. of ophthalmology and attending physician at BU Eye Associates.

Wuqaas Munir has been made an assistant professor of ophthalmology at the School of Medicine and an attending physician in the cornea and refractive surgery service at Boston University Eye Associates.
Munir specializes in laser vision correction, corneal transplantation, cataract surgery, and inflammation and infection of the eye. His research interests include corneal disease, infection, and surgery, and Descemet’s stripping endothelial keratoplasty (DSEK).
A reviewer for the journal Cornea, Munir earned a medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and did his ophthalmology residency as chief resident at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed a cornea fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Fla.
