BU Law Launches LLM Leadership Program

New scholarship program recognizes future leaders in the law.

LLM students at BU LawBoston University School of Law is proud to announce the launch of its LLM Leadership Program, a scholarship program designed to recognize the leadership potential of the school’s most promising LLM candidates. The program is available to all fall 2018 applicants who have a minimum of three years of work experience in the law or a related field.

Students admitted to the LLM Leadership Program receive LLM Leadership Awards—which represent the school’s highest level of scholarship support—formal designation as LLM Leadership Scholars, and invitations to participate in a range of special professional networking events throughout the academic year.

“The Leadership Program is designed to attract candidates whose professional track records and industry experience make them particularly suitable for advanced studies at BU Law,” says John Riccardi, assistant dean for graduate and international programs. “The program is especially apt for applicants interested in banking and financial law, taxation, and intellectual property topics—areas of specialization at BU Law where many of our instructors are experienced industry leaders who teach from a real-world perspective.”

All candidates for BU Law’s full-time residential LLM programs (American Law, Banking & Financial Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Taxation) are eligible for the program with no additional paperwork required. Candidates will be notified of their acceptance to the program at the time of admission.

In addition to the LLM Leadership Program, BU Law will continue to offer its LLM Scholars Program, which provides generous financial support to meritorious candidates who pursue LLM studies at earlier stages of their legal careers.

More information on BU Law’s LLM Leadership Program and the portfolio of LLM offerings is available on BU Law’s website. Interested candidates seeking further information should email inquiries to bullm@bu.edu, or call BU Law’s Graduate & International Programs Office at 617-353-5323.
