Occupational Health Service allows active employees and select group of affiliates to access COVID-19 testing services via Enterprise Health’s EMR system and follow subsequent steps for COVID-19 testing.

Staff members and their supervisor will be notified by Occupational Health via email, text message, and phone calls, in addition to in person conversations about the testing results and follow up steps.

Benefits

Help the University conduct on campus operations such as teaching and research by allowing employees and a select group of affiliates to submit COVID-19 symptoms and follow the direction of the Occupational Health staff. Employees will either receive a clearance to work notification or will be informed to quarantine, seek on campus symptomatic COVID testing, and seek further medical help from their personal physician.

  • Allow employees to log in and respond to daily symptom check questionnaire
  • Allow Occupational Health staff to communicate test results, clearance for work, or subsequent testing needs to the employee and their supervisor
  • Enable contact tracers to schedule off-cycle testing of BU community members that may have been exposed while on campus (contact tracing limited to BU campus and does not replace state or local health department contact tracing)
  • Comply with Massachusetts Department of Public Health reporting requirements

What to Expect

This service normally will be available 24 by 7 except for standard upgrade/update windows as provided by the vendor, Enterprise Health.

Requirements

  • An active employee in BUworks or registered as an active affiliate.

    Getting Started

    • Log in to Enterprise Health now.
    • If you have the employee role, you will be presented with the “Symptoms Check” questionnaire. Answer the questions to proceed further. Based on your answers, you will either be cleared to go to campus or be instructed to discuss symptoms with Occupational Health Center staff.
    • Supervisors will be able to view HIPAA permitted Covid compliance details for direct reports.
