  1. These career expos are a joke. I attended one last year and nobody was even hiring. Its a good place to get information about companies but other than piling up your backpack with free coffee mugs and paper dont waste your time.

  2. I think they’re kind of helpful, depending on what kind of job you’re looking for. The ENG Expo was always really good. I understand why ENG does it separately since the companies are looking for specific majors, but so are a lot of the ones at the big expo. I think they should find companies that are hiring in different fields, then have separate days so it’s less overwhelming. I’m sure that wouldn’t be logistically feasible, but I think it’s worth the thought. I’ve only gone to a BU wide expo once. It was the last one before graduation and it was full of Sophomores trying to get internships. That’s great that everyone gets the same experience, but maybe they can split it up and have an internship session or something. The companies who don’t want interns can go to lunch, leaving the room less crowded.
